Plant Fruit Trees in Israel
About Us
TreesToIsrael.org was set up by David Pisanti and Menachem Kuchar
who have a strong desire to help people all around Israel
establish themselves in the Land of their fathers according to the Torah.
David Pisanti
David lives in Kiryat Arba.
For the past eight years since he moved there from Yerushalayim he has been
actively involved in encouraging settlement in the area and seeking our original
Israel and Torah way of life.
He set up and managed Rav Adin Steinsaltz's "Talmudic Realia Research Institute".
This Institute was set up to research the synergy between Torah and the different sciences, and to find
applications of these Torah sciences in our daily lives.
Menachem Kuchar
Menachem has lived in Efrat for nineteen years
and is very involved in the local community.
He has participated in a number of Israel oriented web sites
over the past few years:
Starting over ten years ago,
israelVisit has
provided information about Israel
as well as a platform for Israeli artisans to present
their products.
For the eight years israelVisit
has provided a service of sending
Mishloach Manot
to soldiers each Purim. Each year, supporters of Israel have been
sending soldiers these packages with their
blessings.
For the past four years
PizzaIDF.org,
BurgerIDF.org
and PurimIDF.org
have been sending Pizza, Burgers and other treats
to soldiers serving on active duty.
When PizzaIDF started, tourism was stagnant and the economy
under tremendous pressure. These projects provided many
people here in Israel with a means of continuing their business
activities. Similarly the trees project is helping
many people in Israel in many different ways.
As we are taught that the highest form of charity is to help people to work
with dignity, we feel, in our small way, we are contributing positively to
the overall situation.
Recently Menachem has published a bencher with photographs of life in
Gush Katif and a book entitled Actualities in Black & Orange
featuring the behind the scenes story of the struggle for Gush Katif.
